SewMate
// The challenge
A tailoring shop runs on its order book. Sizes, delivery dates and advances are written by hand, slips get lost, and the balance is worked out at the counter while the customer waits.

How we built it
SewMate follows the order of a paper order book: add the customer, pick the garment and take the sizes, set the delivery date and note any advance, then mark the order ready once it is pressed. One order can cover garments for several family members, each with their own sizes and fitting note, and every order gets a number and a status from pending to delivered.
A shop sets its usual price for each garment once, on a rate card, and can attach a photo of the design or the customer's cloth to an order. The Money screen shows what came in this month, the total still owed and the unpaid orders behind it, and payment history can be searched and exported.
We never receive the diary. It lives on the Android phone or tablet, or in the browser profile for the hosted web version, and the whole thing, photos included, can be saved to a JSON file and restored. The app does not read the phone's contacts on its own and opens the camera only when someone adds a cloth photo. Printing works over Bluetooth, USB or the local network.
